Global Macro

We seek investment opportunities in global FX, rates, commodity, and equity markets, as well as their respective derivatives. Our investment process is centered around the analysis of fundamental macroeconomic themes. Through this, we can uncover relative value trades resulting from market dislocations influenced by geopolitical events, economic trends, general flows of funds, and other broad systemic factors. We engage in deep-value research to forecast changes in interest rates, inflation, economic cycles, and political outcomes to better inform our investment decisions. We aim to generate alpha independent of where we stand in the business cycle.

Long-Short

Our portfolio focuses on preserving capital and investing in low-risk undervalued equities globally. We strictly adhere to a bottom-up investment approach, and we focus on the quality of the management team, notably their abilities, backgrounds, and desire to generate shareholder value. We tend to invest in well-run companies whose stock prices failed to accurately price in their earnings power, and troubled companies that are mispriced relative to the value of their underlying assets. For shorts, we typically focus on companies with bubblelicious market multiples that are poised to re-rate within the next two quarters. Although our portfolio is biased toward the long side, we aim to profit on both our longs and shorts by executing shorts as investments instead of hedges.
