The Quantitative Finance Society is the leading markets-focused financial analysis club at NYU Stern. For 8 years the club has educated students about trading, the markets, portfolio management, investment analysis, and the macro economy.
Andy is a senior majoring in Finance and Computer Science. In his free time, he enjoys attending hackathons, playing poker, and traveling around the world.
Sashank is a senior studying statistics and mathematics. He has experience developing quantitative strategies across asset classes. In his free time he enjoys film, dance, and poker.
Leandro De Los Reyes
Leandro De Los Reyes is a sophomore intending to study finance and data science. In his free time, he enjoys running, photography, and watching films.
Max is a sophomore from Sugar Land, Texas. He intends to study Finance and Economics and hopefully something interesting as a minor. In his free time, Max likes to explore new interests, hang out with friends, and research automobile and real estate prices. He has a passion for cars and hopes to one day travel and drive on the most famous roads around the world.
Glenda is from Hong Kong and is studying Finance and Statistics. She enjoys live music, backpacking, and exploring new restaurants.
Kevin is from Holmdel, NJ and is studying Mathematics and Statistics. Since he joined QFS, Kevin has worked on a model for mean-reverting agriculture spreads and is currently delving into learning about sentiment analysis. In his free time, Kevin enjoys eating at new restaurants, exploring the city at night, jamming to electronic music, and playing online games.
Apurva is from Atlanta, Georgia and is majoring in Finance and Economics with a minor in Math. He is looking to enter global economic research in hopes of pursuing a Ph.D. in Economics. Recreationally, Apurva enjoys analyzing the numbers while watching baseball, basketball, and football.
Nelson is a sophomore concentrating in Finance and possibly Economics with a minor in Computer Science. He's originally from Caracas, Venezuela, but spent the past few years in sunny South Florida. In his free time, he attends live music shows and festivals, as well as watches nearly every new movie certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.
Jimmy is a junior finance student from the Bay Area in California. Since coming to NYU, however, he has become a traitor and now asserts the East Coast is in fact the best coast. He has previously interned in business development, and is currently interning at a lower-middle market investment bank. For fun, he enjoys going to the gym, film and TV, feeding in League, and keeping up with cool technology he cannot yet afford on his own dime. Don’t put junk food, especially candy, near him.
